Carly Rae Jepsen is a Canadian singer born November 21 1984 in the Mission area of British Columbia. By the time Carly Rae was in highschool she was already performing in shows of talent in the area she lived in. She enrolled in an institution called the Canadian College of Performing Arts located which is located in Victoria, British Columbia, following her graduation from the high school. 2007 was the year she placed as a third place 3 finalist in an audition for Canadian Idol Season 5. She released her debut Tug of War album in 2008 following the finale. It became a massive success and reached the top spot on the Canadian Albums Chart. Her second album Kiss in 2012, which produced the hit song Call Me Maybe. It was a global hit, topping the charts in 18 countries and sold over 15 million copies.
